thanks... so i basically do what i did before when the leak as at the pushrod end.. get the same kit and replace the same parts essentially? here is the kit i used before...

is the o ring that you guys are referring to the one in the pic below please?

the pressure is fine on the boiler... not had any problems with the boiler other than the this and the previous leak. This is the kit i used on the previous repair...

how do you find out if the pallet wood you have is hard or soft wood please?

These are the 2" thick by 4" wide pieces of wood I am using. So do you think that the treated softwood would be more durable than the the pieces of wood i got from the pallets?

Can the Plate Heat Exchanger be cleaned/unblocked or do i need to get a new one? Thanks.

i was not asking if a service would include a repair. I was asking what a service normally included, as I have heard it varies between different companies/boiler engineers. Some check more things than others.

Is there another name for the secondary heat exchanger.. as I cannot find it in the baxi manual? I can see the primary heat exchanger but no secondary. Thanks

My boiler is a baxi combi 80E.. not sure how old it is (over 5 years old for sure). I am just enquiring to see what things are done/should be done when a boiler is service.
