Aqualisa shower, low pressure on hot side.

I have just replaced the cartridge on my aqualisa aquavalve shower, however, whilst I am getting good pressure from the cold side, (it has a dual pump), there is very low pressure on the hot side, which is causing the pump to turn on and off. Before I take it apart, does anyone have any suggestions?

    Front doors

Looking for some advice / recommendations regarding getting a new front door. We have a wide door / frame, 1080mm, (door is 915mm), but I cannot find a company that can accommodate this size, other than a bespoke wooden door company, but at £3.5k, which is a crazy price. Any suggestions welcome.

    Led lights

It’s a really old switch, was here when we bought the house 18 years ago, it’s made by smiths. On the back is a sticker with ZV360 on it, which I’m assuming is the model number. There are 3 wires, blue from L1, yellow from common and red from L2. It also says ‘not for use with fluorescent lamps’...

    Led lights

We have a timer that switches our outside lights on and off, however if using led bulbs, they remain on when the timer switches them off, but at a dimmed level. I’ve read a great deal about this issue but looking for an alternative to keep using incandescent bulbs. Any suggestions for a remedy...

    Wood burning stove replacement

We have a wood burning stove installed in a fireplace. I know there are regulations for installing a wood burning stove, but I can’t find any information on replacing an existing stove. Can anyone advise whether I can just pull out the old one and put the new one in?

    Shower pump not coming on

Andy, "I'm loathe to replace it as we will be having a new bathroom in about 18 months." Rob, thanks, I may well try that next time, it's working ok at the moment, (touch wood). But, is it ok to open these? worried it may leak afterwards.

    Shower pump not coming on

I have a wickes twin impellor 2 bar brass shower pump, that intermittently will not activate. It's been installed about 17-18 years. I'm guessing it's an issue with the flow switch. Does anyone know if it's possible to get at the flow switch on these pumps? I'm thinking it be may be furred up...

    Damp on internal wall

Have hacked off the plaster to just above the mortar line. It's definitely the old outside wall as it has evidence of past repointing. There is no DPC,( it may be below the concrete floor level) and the concrete floor butts right up to the wall. Any thoughts on using a chemical DPC?

I know where the mains pipe is routed, same with drains, so I know its not that. I can't see anyway it could be a buried pipe either.
