    I have had it happen once when i was not quick enough to tool the silicone, exact same thing, that's why i mentioned it. You say expensive, what was it exactly, i mean make not price.

    You can leave the expander connected as long as you do the confirm devices when the panel comes back up. I am going to be away all week with limited access to internet etc.. so please bare with me, hopefully it will solve the issues.

    Whatever the password is on your other machine you need to recreate that on the new one. Go to user accounts and create a new master user account with the correct password and user name. If it is at defaults Master 123456 just recreate that on the new machine
