I want to poor a thin layer of concrete on my garage floor as it is very uneven but solid. It will never be used for a car, just storage and workshop. I was thinking about pouring it in three sections because if it was poured in one, it would be difficult to level off, as 3 sides are enclosed...

:D its up, lovely. I think the bottom bolts went into the lintel. They are rock solid. the two tops ones in the brick seem to pull them self out sort off. So i gave up trying to tighten them too much. Thats for the help

So just drill a snug hole whack it in and tighten? I drew it using paint. I dont have it on me to take a photo. :D

Thanks for the reply. Here is my drawing on the pin. looks as if i need access to both side of brick to use these! the expanding ones sound like a good idea. Is the one in your picture one of them? I have seen them before.

Also the fixings are unllike normal bolt. Its a threaded pin not threaded bolt, with an outer cylinder casing, with slits down it on the pin end.

In the instructions it tells me find studs or joists to mount the brackets. Is this the same as a lintel? I wish to attach it to a brick wall of my house. Thanks :)

My sister done this a few months ago, i thought i was very amusing when the living room switch turned the kitchen light on lol. Took ages to fix it without a multimeter, to this day the 1 kitchen light only works with the other kitchen light on lol.

Thats why its important to read. Saying its just wrong with out an explanation aint much help, how would i learn from it. That diagram is for an internal one, i put it to the left so the wires can be seen easily. So for an internal MCB it must be connected by a bus bar never a short...

Thats how i meant it to look, other picture was misleading. I take it its wrong then, or against regulations to connect a wire like that to the bus bar. Electrician is definately doing it now, but id still like to learn all the same.

Nope the cover suggests the other half is for a whole new block of mcbs and isolator, hence no place to fix another in. Is the direct connecting with unit in loft not allowed?

I dont want too, i probably wont be me doing it myself, and if i do it will def be checked. I cant see how another mcb will fit, there is space but nothing to fix on, must be a way though, else why the blank spaces on cover. Ill take another look :D
