My son has broken the tail off his RC plane (before it even got out the box!!) It's polystyrene...can I use 'no nails' type adhesive on it or will it melt?? (Not strictly DIY but need advice quick!) Thanks
Just to be really awkward we don't have a storage tank! It's a Victorian house and the water comes straight from the rising main I've now discovered! Thanks for persevering...anything else worth trying? (other than a set of ear plugs!)
It doesn't seem to do it with all the taps......only the ones in the upstairs bathroom........not sure which taps in the house are fed from the rising main!! I tried turning down the pressure, doesn't seem to have helped. Any more ideas?? Thanks
Everytime I turn off a cold water tap (or when the toilet cistern has filled) there is a loud banging noise from the pipes under the floorboards. Is this likely to be air in the system? Its driving me mad!! Any suggestions welcome! :x
Thanks......aluminium nosing would be ideal as it would match the others in the room (it is a concave curve) I'll try a local flooring stockist....thanks again :D
A few years ago I painted a fab 'Mr Men' mural on my kids bedroom wall....lots of the colours are very bold/dark...he has now sadly grown out of the 'Mr Men' and I now want to paint over a new (and 'lighter') theme...is there any paint out there specifically for quick coverage of dark colours so...
Good tip.
Still a bit chilly up-north so it's not yet in bud! Will move manana (unless there's an unexpected heatwave! If there is I'll be down the beach!)
Thanks for your reply
I want to move a Kilmarnock Willow. It's well established, about ten years old. How can I move it to my Aunties garden without killing it off?
Thanks

Thanks for the advice......ended up using a big ugly husband to give me a hand! (Still got all our fingers and thumbs too although several are now different colours!)
Will certainly use your technique next time....
I'm trying to fit downlighters into a 9.5mm plasterboard ceiling. The clips are very strong and I'm struggling to get them in without destroying the hole! Any tips on how I might strengthen the hole in the plasterboard....have so far practically severed a finger on the spring clip. Thanks
