Richard,
Yes saw them myself in Screwfix, but not too bothered about the inter-locking. The price was a big put-off.
Masona,
That looks remarkably similar. The stuff I've seen comes in tiles, but I could go with that. Where's it from?
I'm trying to locate some of the vinyl/rubber floor tiles that you see used in leisure centre/gyms/swimming pools etc. It's the battle-ship grey stuff with the raised circular pads. Does anyone know where I can purchase some?
The ceiling in our bathroom looks like it has been painted with gloss! I want to return it to more 'traditional' state. Anyone got any tips on how to prepare it and what the best paint would be?
We've got a Vokera Combi boiler fitted. I'm in the process of putting in a new bathroom. We are planning on ripping out the old electric shower and was thinking of replacing it with a Thermostatic shower. I've read some conflicting reports on how well they work with Combi boilers. Has anyone...
Does anyone know the legalities of someone moving their own water meter. Ours is located in our downstairs bathroom. I'm about to fit a new bathroom suite and the meter is in the way. I only want to move it a couple of feet. It doesn't look to be a big job, and I'm guessing in the eyes of...
Just an update: I've not done anything about the boiler yet because I want to move a couple of radiators in the next couple of months so I will be draining down and re-filling a couple of times so will use the cleaner that people have suggested above. But now the boiler seems to be quiet until...
I've read all the previous posts. I can't find anything similar, but apologise if this has been asked before!
Our Vokera combi boiler has started grumbling since its been turned back on for the winter. When the heating has been on for a short while it can start to hum. You can stop it...
It turned out to be quite straight forward. If you are quick undoing the valve, you can move the pipe out of the way enough to get a bowl under the radiator. You get a little water on the floor, but not too much.
It's the putting a basin on the floor bit I want advice on. Surely if I open the valve the water will just run down the outside of the pipe because of in-line valves. I think I'm going to try putting a large piece of 'Blu-Tak' or similar around the pipe with a small tail dropping down to one...
I want to remove a towel radiator from the wall to paint. The valves are vertical. Has anybody got any tips for draining these valves without the water going everywhere?
Do you need a special kind of laminate in the kitchen?
Also, we will be having new kitchen units, is it best to lay the laminate first and do the whole floor i.e. under where the new units will be? I've heard conflicting reports. Thanks.
