Ariston Genus 27 burner keeps cycling for DHW

The expansion vessel problem won't be causing the cycling but it does need replaced anyway. From what I can see from your video the boiler is firing ok and going from its ignition rate straight down to its lowest gas setting. As DP said it would help if you could tell us if this is happening...

    Sainsburys and British gas offer

Bg may sometimes seem overpriced but if you see the hoops they jump through to comply with laws and regulations then you might understand why, all that cost money which I'm afraid is passed on to the customer. Simple business. The independents will vary, some good, some bad, some extremely good...

Can a boiler flue have 2 90o bends & run downwards?

    Gas Safe required?

Another thing to consider Is will you get anyone to work on it in the future, if its evident its a fairly new pipe/ kitchen i'd be asking who had fitted it. Then of course you would be asking the gas registered installing your cooker to trust the quality of workmanship these guys have done...

Do you have a Sime Format C boiler?

That's just the email, if you look up the actual safety bulletin it says in there, dunno if you are GSR but we can inform sime and request a call from them. Edited to say its Safety alert 011 and it also has instructions for fitting/ wiring

Duotec Baxi HE and Siemans RDH10RF

Hi, The Siemens stat is a simple room stat so timing is controlled through the boiler timer. If its in the on position the heating will only come on when the room temperature drops below the set temp on the thermostat. Depends on what type of house you have for boiler thermostat setting, if...

vokera linea 24 motorized valve leaking

now i've got to find the answer to this one :) Used to look after a couple of estates with lineas and linea max and have had the problem several times, open the motor, dry it with a hair dryer and it works fine. The motor housing and most of the assembly is plastic and has no earth. If water...

vokera linea 24 motorized valve leaking

You never had a vokera divert or diong this? Fact is water leaking, perhaps at spindal, perhaps into the motor, just like you I'm not standing in front of boiler, a suggestion was all it was and something to rule out. Perhaps the op would be kind enough to post back when it's fixed?

vokera linea 24 motorized valve leaking

Hi, could water be getting into the diverted motor, this can cause it to motor on and off constantly which would put all your hot water power to the radiators. Worth a look. With the boiler cold turn on hot water and you should hear the motor move once only, if it keeps making noises it's likely...

Worcester Greenstar Ri kaput - two blue light flashes

Try powering off the heating system at the fused spur for ten mins and then see if it clears, poss power cut has caused the boiler a few problems, usually you would only get two flashes when in service mode. Worth a try first, hopefully nothing damaged on pcb?

Please don't connect to this as it looks like mild steel. Stainless is required for stoves to take the heat.

    Edging for slate roof

Hi all, Was looking for some sort of edging for my slate roof. It's to go at the gable end of the house where the slates meet the wall. At the moment dirt seems to come off the roof and is making the painted wall dirty. So to save having to paint it regularly was looking for something to stop...

Baxi 100 HE failure to ignite

It seems like the guy isn't actually tracing the fault but just changing bits until he gets it right. I'm hoping you not paying for the parts  It's getting uneconomical cause he doesn't know what's wrong! If it was working b4 the new gas valve perhaps something to do with this? is it...
