    Grohe rainshower

Hi thanks for the reply. The only indication of type on the instructions is one of the following: 27 469 or 27 569 other than this I have no idea. Wondering why these s unions are used at all as they seem to be a complete pain in the rear :)

    Grohe rainshower

Thanks for the reply but this wont work as the s unions are needed to tighten the covers to hide them, the nut fits inside and is held in place by lugs so you can tighten the cover down. I just need to know what to use to seal the 15mm end of the union to the female of the compression fitting.

    Grohe rainshower

Hi all :) I am in the process of fitting the Grohe rainshower system. With reference to the "S" unions supplied on the kit I understand that the 22mm end of this goes into the shower valve unit but cant see how you can attach a 15mm pipe with olive and compression nut to the 15mm end as...

    LED transformed plinth lights

Correct me if im wrong here? So essentially I would be switching the transformer on and off and hence the lights, using the light switch which is interrupting the flow of power from the fused spur?

    Tradesman work - problems aferwards

Damp can be a right sod to sort out but .... maybe this could be whats happening. Normally with a DPC injection solution to the problem the plaster is hacked off in the affected area to a height of 1 metre minimum. Then the DPC is injected and a tanking slurry applied. At this point you do...

    nail through pipe

Being a damned good chippy myself as well as running my own building business in my opinion the chippy is a ****** !! Before fitting skirting check for wire dropd and if microbore is present then use a detector if you have to pin the board. To be honest if you use good materials theres not...

    central heating pump problem ?

Thankyou DP for the info but in the interim I have done all you suggest. Methodically checking each connection and power supply - As suspected the wiring, although a damned mess, is all ok . The pump, on inspection from the guy I use to do all my gas and heating, agreed it required changing and...

    central heating pump problem ?

when i turn up the stat on the wall to call for heat nothing happens. There appears to be no power to the live going into the pump so im wondering if it may be the wall stat as i understand it will still "click" when you turn the dial even if it is faulty ? Everything was working fine then...

    central heating pump problem ?

Hi all, Central heating just stopped on me, gave the pump a gentle tap and it kicked in but only for a short while. Its a grundfoss ups 15 50 which i replace for new as its been in since 1986. Opened up the valves, unscrewed the big central nut to let out any air and it seemed to be making...
