I am not a "purist" but when offering a client an option on corridor lighting it annoys me to have to say after approx 6 years the complete light fitting has to be thrown away and you have to pay to have an electrician (rather than a handyman who changes the bulbs) change all the lights.

I was carrying out plumbing work in a rented property recently, a joiner was working in the property replacing existing doors with fire doors. I noticed the joiner did not replace or upgrade the existing timber frames. He cut and altered the new fire doors to fit the existing frames...

I have read through H3 regs but cannot see any thing that specifically says it is not allowed. The contractor has altered the existing drainage to a lesser standard than before (ie it was previously running direct into a drain) but I still do not know if this is permissible.

this is a newly converted mill building. self contained flats now. I tried looking into the Building regs H3 covers this but wanted to check with people on here also.
