i must confess you are getting too technical for me lol, basically, burner only works when i hit the control box button, it then burns for around 20 minutes, warming the house, then stops, and stops well short of the thermo setting of 26 degrees, more like 18

thank you John and AJ, yes that thread was me, i found it in the end, had a look at my burner this morning, it worked when i used the control box, heated the house thankfully, but after switching off and trying to start it from controls inside the house there is no response except the amber...

and my point was, there isnt a selection of 7.5kw showers to choose from, which seems silly when modern houses with 6mm as standard in a standard unit that only takes 30 amp fuses, is only suitable for 7.5 kw showers, none of this is solving my problem however, but its nice to talk

you missed my point, or maybe you just wanted to show me how clever electricians are, the fact remains, a selection of showers that are compatible with standard 6mm cable (without any fancy add on rcd mcb blurbablurb) are noticeable by their absence, thanks for the repiles though:)

its a wylex, no, its running straight off a 30 amp fuse, house is 18 years old, i love the way 6mm was still being used when 7.5kw showers where being phased out not that long afterwards:(
