its the bottom of the the small sideplates( you can see one in the picture) that are not giving way

plinth wont detatch, ive unclipped what i can, its loose but wont come away, ive give it all ive got, levered it with large screwdrivers, dont wanna bust it, il take another look tomorrow but cant see how it detaches fully, i do appreciate this advice even though im struggling lol

il take a couple more, as i say, the sides seem moulded to the front "plinth" of machine,

ok, but that side looks like a blank canvass to my untrained eye lol

Hi fender, poured water in and it's pumped out fine, took side panel off, well mostly off, it's moulded to the base in one corner, all I see is the water pipe that feeds into the washer, switched it on and can't see water travelling up the pipe, all other workings are accessible from underneath...

thanks for the advice, im gonna be busy til tuesday now, will defo look into it further, sat in yesterday from 9 til 5 waiting for local appliance handy man to arrive, waste of space he is, im determined to crack this myself, will get back to you tuesday cheers again

it wasnt the solenoid water valve, so i have a spare now o_O, anybody got any other ideas before i dump it :)

CHEERS FOR THE REPLY, ive took a chance and ordered a new valve, got it for 11 quid, if it aint that then plan b and ive a spare valve lol

just to say, it makes all the right noises for 20 seconds say, then just a dull knocking noise then nothing

no water seems to be making it through when i start it up, water feed not blocked, COULD be the inlet valve im told, just wondered if it WILL be lol, any offers? CHEERS BOONER

well this is embarrassing, it was the photocell(AGAIN), the only thing i didnt check, think i might buy an extra one for checking next time cos thats 3 times in 15 years, all from a slightly different fault, sorry for wasting your time guys :oops: :oops:

ok, he pressed reset with the bleed screw out and oil squirted out, not sure what that eliminates, if anything, I shall pass on both of the last comments to him, not sure how easy to replace coil or clean filter is, so can we rule out transformer, thanks for the help guys

with regard to the transformer, i replaced that in 2009 i believe, is it the black box that clips on to the left hand side, i may try swapping that for one i have access to( bro in law is a neighbour lol)

ok, oil pressure is fine, observed the ignitors sparking away when unit was unscrewed from the wall, but no oil appeared to be present at the point of the sparking, he suggested the injector should be replaced as its very blackened locally, but he said he would consult someone else to consider...
