Drilling through brick for cooker extractor

Thanks mike they look ideal. Im just thinking how I get a low profile 90degree angle off the extractor to start. Then I could use what you have shown to get through the cavity and outside. Is there a piece that converts square to round pipe?

Drilling through brick for cooker extractor

The inner leaf is block work as it is a new build kitchen extension. The reason I wanted a square ducting is that I could keep it compact as possible and hide the pipework. When I offered up round tubing the bend to get a 90degree angle meant the pipe would just be visbale above the flyover

Drilling through brick for cooker extractor

Hi I recently had a new kitchen and plan to have the extractor fan vented outside. I have a flyover and want to keep the pipework invisable behind the stainless steel cover. I have bought a 90degree angled flat ducting kit that has a brick sized vent cover. Im wondering what is the best way to...

    Laying new water mains

I appreciate the recommendation Lee. That could save me a good few £££ if I go down that route. Only problem is the licence from my local council is looking like £500+ just to dig a trench in some unused grass

    Laying new water mains

I think the insuduct looks promising. That would allow me to get entry with the new pipe just above concrete floor level in the garage. I just need to check with severn trent its ok to use.

    Porotherm clay blocks

Im not a member of greenpeace although I do appreciate our planet. Im more concerned about getting it built quickly with less risk of frost affecting the build. How much more percentage wise would it cost compared to conventional methods?

Cold water storage tank noisy when filling

This was mega loud when it had an old float valve in it. I replaced it with a fluidmaster side entry valve which when I was in the loft was impressively quiet. However, when I'm in my bedroom which is next to the airing cupboard it still sounds really loud when filling. Kind of like a whooshing...
