    Electricity in shed

Yeah, if i have to later, I'll run another cable. Still hoping my NO to the spa will work. Then if so, there are a lot of models and the power consumption range is huge so not fully planning on that. Water will go to the 45litre pull along container, and be emptied to foul drain. The ones you...

    Electricity in shed

Already spoke with electrician, and we agreed pretty much what i have planned. I will do all the groundwork and he will connect to the house and install new CU in the shed later. Once i have a roof that is. My partner started talking abour SPA in the meantime which i will oppose as long as i can...

    Grey water in shed

What is not proper? For now i am running water only for the shed, the water for sprinklers will be added later and go from home, not shed. I am unsure what am i not doing properly? Also what diameter of pipe would you run?

    Screeding the shed

No drains, and ground will be mainly clay so i would imagine its gonna be fine. Thank you!

    Screeding the shed

Thank you! Actually those boards are not too expensive! Just that bloody digging re floor area, that is why i said about 7x5 i measured the predicted internal floor area and it will be just below 30sqm across the whole thing. 7x5 is what i had available for the shed, then some is used for...

    Grey water in shed

Right, that makes sense. Then again, do you think the water will just drip or is it going to be fine?

    Grey water in shed

Nahh that and outdoor tap to water garden. In future i will add sprinklers and stuff but this will go out of the house. So for tap the water will be fine?

    Grey water in shed

Pipe will be down 60cm,i thought what goes up the wall to the back of the house would be then insulated. Sounds feasible? Still worried about the pressure though. And what diameter of the pipe would you use? 20 or 25mm?

    Grey water in shed

Hey one more question. I want to run the water with MDPE pipe buried in the ground. The nearest place i could draw water from is pipe running to the boiler that is at the furthest back part of the house, so i thought i could connect there. The pipe is 15mm though. If i connect to it, will i get...

    Screeding the shed

Hey everyone! I am building a concrete block shed, or rarher two sharing one wall. Each one a bit smaller than 7x5 meters. I am about to pour foundation, 60cm deep, 30cm thick and take the blocks from there until i get a bit over the ground level. Next i will want to lay a concrete slab within...

    Electricity in shed

I see. External would be around 31sqm, but this is across two 'rooms' if you like. Internal should be below 30sqm,or defo below 30 if you exclude insulation. I looked roughly through that before but will look again. The gas bbq is something quite usual, a lot of them have side burners like hobs...

    Electricity in shed

Yeah i went through the stuff here: https://www.gov.uk/building-regulations-approval then to research project and to outbuildings and it says i would not need any approval for the structure. It's also not exactly 7x5m. This is the area - ish. The drenches I am digging are within that area, and...

    Electricity in shed

Yeah i have a big garden so it is way below the 50% of area. Gas hob, two burners running off gas bottle just as the bbq. Roof at highest point 2.5m. Already contacted local planning institution and they said i will not need a planning permission for that

    Grey water in shed

Only here and screwfix. Well, the other one first, but i feel like screwfix is more for trade people who get a bit angry hearing word DIY and believe that everyone should call tradesmen. Glad i posted that here cause i got a feasible solution in a first answer (or the two of them in fact). Going...

    Grey water in shed

That would be illegal Ok legal if you promise to wash hands only, and illegal if you're to use it for preparing food. I would not like all the grease etc to get to my garden tbh.

    Grey water in shed

That topic got properly hot indeed! Nevertheless i think just for a little sink the pump would be overkill, and the 45liter container I'd have to empty only 1-2 times per week. And then pump and pipes are two extra fail points. My day to day job is actually automation and efficiency improvements...

    Grey water in shed

I see, thanks for it. I assume i can just run a 40mm pipe back to to the sewer avoiding 90 degrees angles and that should do it?

    Grey water in shed

Yeah i saw those, but then it has one review with one star so i am a bit afraid of putting all that work and having the pump that actually doesn't pump There will be power indeed so this option is still on a table, but unsure if worth the effort and risk for one sink

    Electricity in shed

Yeah I am a bit resilient about the pipes going 25 meters from back of the shed up to the sewer and then if the pump wont do the job it will just all go to waste. Or if the water will be under a little pressue and it develops a blockage somewhere halfway through the garden in that tiny pipe...
