    Fixing a brake pad sensor?

Hello. I've noticed there's a damaged cable going into the brakes. I think it's the brake pads sensor?so thought I'd ask if anyone knows if it's an easy fix for a garage there seems to be a bit missing. Also I've noticed the end of a rubber hose also going to the brakes that I think is for the...

If the architect right about this regarding planning?

I'm wondering what would happen if there was a problem. In some circumstances they'd get strict I'm sure but surely an amendment and maybe a fee?

If the architect right about this regarding planning?

Thanks. Mind you in this area they would take months getting round to it. I'm thinking of making it about about 10 inches wider. ( That's to Freddie's twin). I'm doing the brickwork and foundations. It's a very small difference by the way.

If the architect right about this regarding planning?

I think you're right. Firstly permission is granted. I'm talking about building it a bit wider than the plans without pushing my luck. The extension when built will continue out the back on the right side. But it doesn't go all the way across as wide as the house is on the left. Making an L...

If the architect right about this regarding planning?

Hello. It's a single rear extension I'm talking about. It doesn't go all the way across the back. On the side it doesn't go across very far the architect said there'll be no problems if I go a bit wider than his drawing as it's around the back and it's distance from the boundary so can't be...

Who do you hire to establish a boundary position

To check one against the other. The point where the fence comes closest to my house then goes back out slightly means there's basically one fence post that gives a forthcoming extension a lot of problems. If I build the whole thing a metre from there the extension will be a lot narrower.

Suspension arm ball joint dust cover severely deteriorated offside front lower, Anti roll bar linkage ball joint cover severely deteriorated nearside.

Sorry I didn't get a notification. I take it you mean the wishbone bush? I've heard it's a common occurrence on this car. Presumably it didn't look as bad as it seems to be as it wasn't and advisory. Cheers.

Suspension arm ball joint dust cover severely deteriorated offside front lower, Anti roll bar linkage ball joint cover severely deteriorated nearside.

Thanks everyone. I'll get underneath in the next few days and have a look. Swapping the covers would be good. There's been some scratching noises when driving slowly over uneven ground which I'm thinking might need a proper look at at a garage though. It seems to happen only in cold weather...

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Couldn't agree more about your second paragraph I was at a relatives flat the other night which by a massive coincidence I was a bricklayer on 20 years ago. I didn't like to tell him how much s#!+ I know is in his cavity walls.

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Thanks if I have to do that I will but the snots from the brickwork will have to be kept to a minimum

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Do the new regs mean there's no way around a wider cavity then?

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Part of building regs. Windows are just a part of the project. Cheers

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Thanks. Regarding the windows it was only the trickle vents we discussed. Apparently that went up. In one of the rooms there's is a patio door and side window. I would prefer to only have one of them with a vent. As for the cavity insulation my main concern is as long as you can do it with...

Building control application made before the latest change. But what now?

Hello I found out today from a window manufacturer that last year's changes need to be followed even though an application was made before the change. This is because it's when you buy them that counts not when you made the application. I was wondering if anyone knows if this is the case with...
