Pic request: MK Sentry Consumer Unit with RCBO's

Its this style of sentry only a single RCD version: A split load with RCBO's would be cool... Its not for anything inparticular. I had mine replaced and certified a few years back and it looks like a road crash inside. I now need to add an RCBO and I was going to neaten it all up before...

    Insulation over downlighter enclosures...

In the bathroom upstairs I have JC94010 IP65 fire rated downlights, when I installed them I built plasterboard enclosures with 1.5 times the manufacturers minimum spacing around the light. Each box has a couple of 20mm holes drilled in the side for a bit of ventilation. I'm just about to...

Profile 22 and swish window systems...

Is there much between these two profiles? I've had two respected local companies quote for replacing my windows and doors, one uses Swish profiles and the other uses profile 22. There is a large cost difference of 33% between the two quotes which seems a little excessive!

    Basin waste...

Just a quick technical question. In the downstairs loo the basin waste runs out through the external wall in 32mm solvent weld pipe and into a boss as seen here: Looks ugly as hell outside the front door so if possible I would like to attach into the toilet waste internally. Currently...

Engineered wood flooring, bitumen and wonky kitchen floor...

Cheers mattysupra I managed to grind the black nastyness off rather than shot blasting then I used a waterbased compound. Getting it smooth was easy but getting it flat and level took a little more time! :D I'm nervous now about having the wood floor in the kitchen due to ware and water...

Engineered wood flooring, bitumen and wonky kitchen floor...

Engineered wood flooring, bitumen and wonky kitchen floor...

So far the advice from various tech depts has been: Sika: Scrape up the bitumen then use single part Sika Latex Levelling compound no primer. Ardex: Clean the bitumen, level straight over with Arditex NA 2 part Latex Levelling compound no primer. I was quite suprised by the no priming...

    Capping off old radiator pipe...

Luckily there is another rad at the end of the same wall. The pipes i want to cap appear to be t'd up out of the screed so the only dead leg I would have is the depth of the screed. which presumably isn't too bad?
