    Evergreen 4in1 ruined my decking

Just do the same again and create a pattern.

So there's a difference between the G2-44 and G2-44+? Genius! Just out of curiosity, how does one tell the difference between a G2-12, 20 & 44 PCB?

    Can anyone identify...

Just to preempt the answers that I would give: * Looks like a circuit board * Could be an alarm The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed the sticker reading G2-44, which suggests it's a Galaxy G2-44. Indeed, though it isn't shown, the front cover also shows G2-44. However, looking at...

No, you really shouldn't. I think referring to them as "journalists" is a stretch too far.

Sounds like you should get a job working for the council.

Modern CFL Street lights really that efficient?

Why can't one have remote control and fault monitoring on a low pressure Sodium lamp? Presumably the old lamps don't support that but then the solution is to swap the old system for one that does. That doesn't necessarily require changing the actual physics of the lamp.

    New oven tripping rcd

I'm sure BAS will be along in a minute with his "it's anybody's guess" screen shot. Off the top of my head, my best guess is that as ovens contain heating elements which are well known for causing RCD trips, it was done to stop a RCD trip taking out all the other circuits. Given the OPs...

It's not like they are in short supply!

Modern CFL Street lights really that efficient?

I saw an old low-pressure Na street lamp on the Interweb*, which was 36W. * So it must be true

Modern CFL Street lights really that efficient?

I seem to recall from reading that fountain of all internet knowledge* a while back (and I haven't been back to check) that CFLs found favour partly because the broader spectrum gave a more pleasent light but also that in doing so, it allowed to do reduce the power too*. I believe that...

Probably not at this stage. Is it your Consumer Unit that needs a jolly good dose of IPA or your camera lens?

Do Edmundson Electrical sell to the public?

Never had a problem buying from them, although they aren't massively cheap. I've also bought a few things from TLC, who tend to be cheaper and also don't cause issues. Last time the guy carried some 60x60 steel trunking out for me, before looking at the car, scratching his head and saying "I...

[/url] Looks very similar to a problem I had, with two circuits having a shared-line conductor.

Moving the position of a double socket

So what does one need to do in order to be able to put a MF logo on one's product, as oppose to simply describing it as "Maintenance Free"?

    Sink incinerator and wall switches

How many "switches"? The plural suggests at least two but let's be sure. Even so, two fuses blowing is at least plausible, ten would seem unlikely and suggest one needs to look for a cause elsewhere. As the saying goes: "to loose one fuse might be considered a misfortune, to loose two looks...
