New PCB fitted and after a false start and a couple of resets all is ok. Thanks for the help on this.

Fault diagnosed as PCB failure. Engineer coming back today to a new one. I'll let you know how it goes.

Started from scratch and found that when ch is turned up the fan light starts flashing. On looking at the documentation it suggests than its either the safety thermostat or the pcb (overheat thermostat). The guy who fitted it is coming Monday pm so will report back then. Thanks for the help.

I'm going to try changing the spark generator and the ignition lead tomorrow, if that does not sort it I'll call in the guy who fitted it. Thanks again
