800mm shower door gap now too small

Thanks for your reply. The 800mm base was quite a tight fit into the existing gap. I then tiled so that the tiles dropped onto the edge of the base just slightly overlapping. The tiles are about 8mm thick so with the adhesive say 20mm tops. On remeasuring I find that the actual gap is about...

800mm shower door gap now too small

I've been a pillock ! I measured up for a shower door and bought a 800mm kudos curved one. Then tiled the shower area and now find that the door will not fit. The tiles have taken the opening down to about 700 mm. I'm assuming that the only way to fix this is to remove the tiles from one side...

PC Shutting Down Just After Boot-up

I think Igorian is probably correct and its a symptom of a faulty PSU. Another issue with a machine of this age could be leaking (and therefore faulty) capacitors on the motherboard. If possible have a look at the motherboard, best with a torch, to see if any of the capacitors have any goo...

    towel rails on DHW ..?

I think I see a problem here. If the towel rails are also the only form of heating in the bathroom, then in cold weather and when visiting the bathroom for reasons other than a wash or bath, the room could be a bit on the cold side. Anyway back to my query. From what you are saying it's...

    towel rails on DHW ..?

My son has just had his bathrooms renovated. The new towel rails come on with the running of the taps. Basically this means that when you run a bath the towel rail heats up..very nice but is it correct. I was always taught that DHW and Heating should remain separate. Is this a new idea? and does...

    Rain on Postcrete

I did this recently for some fencing, like yourself it rained just after i'd finished. I've checked and it all seems ok.. ITs now 4 weeks later and still seems ok. I suppose it depends on how much rain but I think its unlikely it will be affected. Al

Getting a sky signal into another room

Really depends on what you want. a) the ability to see the same channel in two rooms or b) the ability to watch different sky channels in each room. a) can be acheieved by the use of a magic eye set up..this gives an analogue signal and the ability to control sky from the room. Needs a co-axe...

12 volt ride in Toy Car potentiometer

Thanks guys... but you are not talking to someone who knows very much about electrics/electronics. Fitting a potentiometer in between the wires from the battery to the motors is about as technical as I get. I suppose it might also be an idea to find a pedal switch which has this...
