The answer is you can find on Ebay a product under "access panel air vent" which is just the job

I solved it by just getting a typical chrome flange off ebay with a hole in it and with pliers slightly widening the hole so it fits off the end cap and bit of silicone ... so you can see the end cap in the centre but it looks pretty good and all the tiles around the cap are covered.

I ended up having to raise the shelf height by 1/2" so got some timber cut at the yard and I used Gorilla waterproofing tape on the old shelf and also on the joints on the new timber ... I also had some some 3mm birch ply so used that to make a solid incline so the water flows off nicely. Looks...

I am friendly with my neighbours. If there was some matt paint or anti glare paint that could be rollered on, it's only about 6 sq metres. Would only take 5 seconds. Fibreglass the whole point of it is that it doesn't tone down, it doesn't change.
