    there was a bad damp smell in my bedroom for a while, then i noticed bottom row tiles were spongy to touch this is what i found. 1.5 years old

    HI freddymercurystwin, ye basically i was here 1.5 years ago, tiles falling off shower cubicle. builder comes out and agrees to stripback replace plasterboard, and retile since non stanrd board was used. im im in the same place again an yet grout is perfect!! bottom row tiles at rear are on...

    This is a new build, well 4-5 years ago. it is not tanked, i was told by their directors that this is not a requirement .

    would the building regs find this adequate? I may invite my builder to this thread eventually. but I will keep their ID private for now. For the record I was informed by their director that " Having checked the construction of the shower today it is built with moisture resistant plasterboard...

    Hi there, Could someone please tell me if the board in the attached jpg would be a suitable choice for a shower cubicle? and if it isnt, would it just be frowned upon our would be against any regs? Many thanks? :-)

    flush valves

    Hi, needing to replace my flush valve as the thread is knackered on the 1.5" outlet. I have the one shown in the link. I hadnt anticapated paying that much for one though. is there any cheaper compatable flush valves that i could buy instead? My cistern is a Macdee compact duo. cheers...

    Hollow wall anchor disaster!....help

    Installing a breakfast bar, drill the 5 holes for my batten, had put 2 anchors in and all was lloking good. Partner comes along “want some help putting them in?” why not i thought. So we screw them all (apart from 1) in to open up the anchors. Lauras doing the last one when ‘pop’, she took it...

    i mean this in the nicest of ways, but that just reinforces how much you dont understand the electrical side of your boilers if you got a fault on the pump (provding fuses are dsciriminating) then you want the upstream fuse to blow first, i.e. the 3A in the PCB.... if you got a fault up...

    Andygasman2010, TBH, i have no clue!! this makes no sense to me (from an electrical perspective) im going to phone IDEAL tomorrrow and ask their tech team about this...will report back what they say.
