Can soil pipe be chased into a wall?

I don think so. The wall it runs down in not an external wall. Seems like boxing it in is the only option. We are going to have a builder and plumber look at it when they come to discuss the other work we are having done. I'll post a pic tomorrow night after I visit the house again...

Can soil pipe be chased into a wall?

Hi, We have just purchased a 1960s semi where the soil pipe runs down from the bathroom and down the kitchen wall into the ground. It was hidden behind a false back in a cupboard. The strange thing is that the pipe goes into the wall near the ceiling. I think it then carries on up through the...

    Petrol Strimmer Service

Hi, I think my petrol strimmer is in need of a service. It takes a while to start and dies when I open the throttle fully. I'm using petrol that is quite old so I know that doesnt help. What should be done as part of a service? I assume replace the spark plug. Anything else? There...

    Gate installation advice needed

Thats exactly what I was thinking about doing. The gate doesn't need to be on the corner. Yes, the garage is made of concrete panels bolted together. I was worried about drilling through it withour cracking the panel. I have an SDS drill, so will that be ok? Thanks again for the replies. Alan

Wood is prefered. I suspect it will need to be custom made as the gap is quite narrow. Thanks Alan

    Gate installation advice needed

Hi, I would like to add a gate between my concrete garage and fence. However I am not sure how this should be done. I think there was a gate there in the past as there is a hole in the ground by the garage. I'm not sure how to secure the gate to the garage. I have posted a few pics to the...

    New radiator is sealed up

Hi all, I've got a new radiator to replace an old one. This is the first time I've installed a brand new one and I'm a bit unsure about connecting the new valves. The new radiator seems to have all 4 connections sealed up. I am not sure how to unseal them. They look like they should...

New garden project. A few Q's

Hi Matt, My garden also slopes towards the house. We put aco drains along the house wall. The damproof was at didderent levels across the width of the house, so part of the drain is beneath the level of the patio. The gap between house and patio is full of pebbles now and looks fine. Some...

    Garage Door Security

Not sure if this is the right topic, but here goes... Someone has attempted to break into my garage by trying to break the lock on the door. Thankfully the lock held up to attack. I'll need to replace the lock on the door. Its a very old garage door and has a very simple locking mechanism. I...
