    Disabled WC panic alarms?

How does a panic alarm system in disabled toilets work? I know there are panic buttons in each wc area and perhaps a sounder in a main area, but how do you know which dis wc area is requiring help. Is there an indicator on the panel which tells people which loo is in trouble?

Kitchen tap - boosted cold water

I have been told a new system to house may require a boost tank and pump to improve water pressure and flow. I wonder if the kitchen tap is normally served from this boosted or is it fed off the normal mains supply (i.e. un-boosted) Its a tap in the house that is used more frequently than...

    Radiators in timber boxing?

When radiators are fitted within timber boxing, does it matter if the TRV is 'inside' the boxing too? If there is a bit of an opening in the boxing for the TRV to sense the temp.?

    QUERY ON LARGE HOUSE ELECTRICS

Just found out there is an armoured cable rising up near the annexe that was put in some time ago. It isn't feeding any DB's its just coming out of the ground with a few wires coming out of the end. Is this likely to be a single-phase cable, would there be another cable with it if it was...

    QUERY ON LARGE HOUSE ELECTRICS

What does IMHO mean? I assume the 'normal' solution would mean to take the supply for the annexe from the distribution board in the main house although it is some distance away?? The sub-main seems the most logical way forward, with a sep. board in the annexe, I have also found out that a...

    Large Combi?

No, what it is the bloke has had some calcs done on the building and reckons he needs 40kW heat output, he knows the drawbacks of a combi on hot water but he wants one and won't accept any other system. Therefore I need to show him a combi boiler with a heat output of 40kW.... big I know? I...

    Large Combi?

28kW heat outpu i'm afraid!! I can think of the ATAG Q51C ""The ecoTEC plus 937 power store high efficiency combination boiler provides a high level of hot water comfort and is ideally suited to properties with higher hot water demands. It is SEDBUK band A rated, has a 2 year warranty and...
