THE NEW 2009 ROAD TAX CHARGES (DISGUSTING)

Whats up with you lot, I sold my van and bought a Trebant pick up. Absolutely brilliant, only holds 8 litres of juice, does 120mpg and I get a cheque back from DVLC every month for driving it! The downside is it can only be loaded with 1 concrete block and if I'me working more than 2 miles away...

    Damp on Ceiling help

Whats been burnt over the years in the ground floor fireplace will have polluted the stack. Condensation within the stack will produce staining etc upon adjacent walls /ceilings , personally I would reduce the entire stack and eradicate the problem.

    Doing as we're told?

I think the NHS are very protective with children and maybe they just want to explore every eventuallity, not a bad thing methinks just to determine there is'nt or won't be any problems. It's a difficult one but all the best whatever you decide.

DRILLING INTO INTERNAL WALLS MADE OF CONCRETE BLOCKS

A lot of 1930's properties had clinker type blocks at skirting, dado and picture rail heights for fixings. As you've found out a hammer drill destroys them, Woody's correct a chemical/resin anchor will do the job for plugging and fixing. If it's a party wall use 10" frame screws and charge your...
