    Nightmare job

Just a update....sorted the job. 1 mains going to 1 switch and looped live to other 2. Single switch was a 2 way switch for living room light. Double switch was a 1 way for kitchen spots and kitchen main light. Mains cable wired to L1 in middle switch completed the circuit for rest of lighting...

Hell of a lot of cable so going for a 3 way 2 game double plate and deep back box. The 2 gang switch (1 switch for main...

    wall plate to brick fixings?

Morning all. Think it's a ledger board and not wall plate. Starting on putting my front canopy back up after removal for new extension. They used frame fixings on the one which was removed. Was all loose and basically just ripped it off the wall. Planning on using chemical fixings but what...

    fcu spur off lighting circuit

I agree stupid place for a fcu. I've only taken power from the 1 in loft. Fed it down into her bedroom in trunking to where the 3a switched fcu is wall mounted. I guess the 3a fcu is for maintenance purposes only then? Is was on manufacturers installation instructions.

    fcu spur off lighting circuit

Wish I'd known that before ban....save me a lot of work. Simple tiling job turned into a ficking big job. She'd removed most of the tiles, 2 walls I had to take back to brick and dot and dab moisture plasterboard on, the other was a built stud which was more bent than graham Norton and Alan Carr...
