    Ventilation slate for flat roof?

I want to stick a ventialtion pipe (110mm) through a flat roof. Does anybody know if there is something similar to this, but for flat roofs? What I want is a sealed rubber type collar that I can just stick around the pipe and then pain around the eges with some bitumen to seal it. Thanks :)

    Do I need to seal?#2

Why would you want to skim a plasterboard (except joints)?

    Nasty Textured Ceilings

You can also try X-Tex. I've used it and it's a bit messy, but it does work! :)

    RF Room Thermostats

If you got a Vaillant boiler you can also use VRT 340f. I've got this solution, and it works excellent! :)

Personally I think they look best if you spray pain them, done by a professional that is. Otherwise I agree with masona. :)

    Vertical ventilation in bathroom?

Ok kev, but why? Does the regulations state you need a fan either way? If you got a vertical pipe the hot air will go out that way anyway.

    Vaillant ecomax

Nice boiler that is. Had the same one fitted myself a couple of weeks ago. Paid about twice, but then that included laying 15 m of gas pipe, and a few water pipes as well. Can recommend the radio based room thermostat, very handy little thing! :) But as everybody else suggests, clean the...

    Vertical ventilation in bathroom?

I've got one of the classic flat roof extensions with the bathroom in it. Currently I have a pipe (with an extractor fan) going through the kitchen for the ventilation of the bathroom. Was thinking of replacing it with a vertical flue straight through the roof in the bathroom instead. I...

New Vaillant condensing combi 824 E/2

Have a look here for required pipe size: http://www.cda.org.uk/megab2/build/pub124/sec3.htm According to Vaillant the 824/E uses 2.43 m3/h, so you should be able to use up to 3m of 15 mm pipes, so shouldn't be any problems! :)

Using old water pipe for gas supply?

ChrisR, thanks for youre reply as well! They are not 3/4", they are 22mm I'm pretty sure. I might have an old system...but it's not THAT old! ;) Ok, that will save both time, money, replastering, and repainting in that case. :D

Using old water pipe for gas supply?

Thanks BAHCO, I was worried about them being corroded as well. The chap I had around from BG was happy to use them though (it was his suggestion actually). I'm just a bit concerned...gas isn't for messing with...

Using old water pipe for gas supply?

Is this in line with regulations? I'm having my old system boiler replaced with a combi, and removing the tanks on the loft. The old gas supply is 15mm, so it needs to be replaced. The question is since the old water pipes are 20mm (22mm?) could one of them be used as part of the new gas...

    Plastering over an artex ceiling

You can also try this http://www.decoratingdirect.co.uk/viewprod/e/ECOXTEX/. I've just tried it on a ceiling, it works pretty well. It makes the Artex all sticky, and it gets a bit messy. However, no dust! On the other hand asbestos is nasty stuff, so maybe you're better off just leaving it...
