Thanks for replies. Have lined the wall and put the ptw paper up the following day...and both times the seams have opened a few hours after.....should I have 'sized' the lining paper ?

hi all. seem to keep having the same prob with paste the wall paper. So... I strip existing paper,,,line the wall... then put up this ptw paper ...as it happens I paste the paper as opposed to the wall and hang it. Then next day the seems seem to show !! What am I doing wrong ? Is the lining...

planning on painting my bathroom ceiling as when I painted it 6 months ago with normal emulsion mould has appeared. So am going to paint it with anti mould paint. Good idea you think and has anybody used it before ?

Got no pics unfortunately. But its as you say it's kind of sitting on the floor and goes up the wall where plaster has been removed about 2 foot or so on the front outside wall and the internal wall between lounge and staircase which goes up centre of house. Its stuck to the wall with like round...

Hi all, just in the process of buying a property that is being re-furbished. Looks like some kind of damp course is being put in....bottom 2foot or so of plaster removed and some kind of blue sheeting stuck to wall. Am I right and what is this sheeting stuff amd how does it work ?

Hi all. Can anyone help in my dilemma? We have a varnished plaster fireplace that has been chipped here and there. How best can I repair the chips ? Do I just fill the chips with filler and re-varnish or use a similar coloured wood filler and then re-varnish ? All help appreciated.

Might sound daft question but putting 8 mains downlighters in sons bedroom ( or safer still gettin spark to do them ) but the loft above the bedroom is insulated. So wouldn't this insulation sitting on the downlighters be a fire risk ? Surely they get hot in the ceiling. Was even thinking of...
