i am getting a quote today and would like someone to tell me how much i can expect to get quoted and if i will have to be sitting down. its to plaster the hallway staircase and ceiling. i can plaster well but that area is to big a job for a novice.

if i dont use bonding plaster over the metal caseing then does multi-finish go over it then??? a little confused :? do i just fill the gaps and not the hole chase with the bonding plaster???

thanks for that but what about the pipes im worried that the plaster will crack . should i box them in??????? or just plasterboard over and skim.

no to sure. what about the hot pipes? also the wall has got metal covering for some wires from the light switches will bonding plaster go over this.or is it easier to dot and dab a new wall to plaster.

i plastered the walls myself. it was painted when it was fully dry (pink in colour) about 4 days . but i didn't dylute the paint with water for the first mix. have i been doing it wrong then. when i painted the matt on there was no problem. it was only with the vinly going on top.
