Here are the images, the black cable comes from my motorised valve and into the pump over run terminals according to the inside of the honeywell white cover. The pump is wired with a white cable to the standard pump terminals. And the links cut are shown. Can anyone help?

Been a long time but have to ask whether repairing the link that has been cut is all i need to do? I'm quite happy to sort it out and maybe solder it as access is easy but what about the wires that are in the pump overun terminals, do i just leave them in situ? I have some wires going into...

Yes that's correct, The pcb has i think five terminals for a pump over run and they are wired in to. also link 6 at the top right hand side has been cut which according to the inside of the honeywell cover is for a pump over run. Ideal confirmed there is no pump over run on the boiler so i...

Hi there, I have noticed a fault with my CH in that the grundfoss pump never stops running. It obviously can't be good for it and it's not quiet either and has become very annoying. I took the cover off the honeywell control box (look likes a junction box with different sections for...

    premium bonds

Due to the low base rate premium bonds prizes have been drastically reduced with fewer prizes on offer. Better off putting it into property or very soon the stock market. Things don't bottom forever. For utter safety an isa from HSBC, Northern rock or rbs is best but for me the above two...

    discharging batteries

I have some power tool batteries i want to re-condition. If i was to take a standard bulb and solder wires to it and connect to the batt i know that would drain it. Am i right in thinking that if i connected a 40watt bulb to an 18v battery i'd be drawing over 2amps? How fast would it...

    flashing

Yeah it's just the one corner. I've had two roofers in who want to re do entire dormer. I just want the corner lead replaced and am now tempted to do it myself because the lead is in short peices going down the side of the dormer and no one seems interested if it isn't going to cost mega...

    freezing pipes

They're feeding mains cold and tank fed hot services. It's the cold that freezes normally and when flushing the toilet it coughs and judders until the water starts flowing so it's not freezing solid. (The toilet is the last run for this pipe and before it is a T for a basin)

    freezing pipes

A large pipe run in my house is through a roof space. The pipes are wrapped in some kind of insulation wrap and i have fitted new foam insulation where none was previously. Trouble is all these pipes runs are in a tight corner between ceiling and wall so normal pipe lagging can't be applied...

    Minor Roofing Work?

Well I'm having a terrible time getting any local roofers or window fitters to quote me. They just don't bother ringing back, or answering their phones. I have to say that after my experiences, no wonder a lot of trades get a bad name. At least you know where you stand with a proper company...

    flashing

Hi guys, Can anyone give me an idea of a rough price to replace the flashing on a dormer window for a bungalow. It is currently leaking in the bottom corner. Just wanted some rough ideas before i call someone in Cheers

    Boiler Questions

It's an icos he18, I will go to the programmer and turn off the hot water heating and leave ch on to test. Will also try it the other way around too. Is this a good way of testing for issues? when i said above "it comes on anyway" I mean the programmer light for HW and CH both come on. It's...

    Boiler Questions

I have a heat only boiler, cylinder and programmer and have a few questions. If i time my heating to come on and not hot water, it comes on anyway and vice versa if the other way around. Is this normal behaviour because the boiler is on anyway? Also, when heating the tank only it heats...

    mixer showers

Well the reason for wanting to use mains cold with an equaliser is due to tank size. I believe the pump will drain the tank fast. Maybe it is a better idea to link another 25gallon matching tank in. And put an overflow and a feed to the pump from there. is it ok to leave the hot water...
