Yes it does rise mate due to water expansion with heat. Mine does too. Normally when the manual says presurise it to 1 or1.5bar for example you do it while cold. I'd expect it to rise by no more than half a bar to be honest.

This is the programmer that is non rf (costs about £45 and plugs into the greenstar boiler). Is it possible to wire a thermostat to it? Has anyone done it?

oh right when i searched for dt20 it just mentioned a programmer. nothing about a stat! I think i'm gonna go with the DT10RF Digistat Programmer Should this be all i need? Does it literally plug into the boiler? Sorry for daft questions but appreciate answers! :oops:
