    Moving house - boiler advice

You can't possibly know something will fail. If i remember correctly you fit vaillants don't you. Well a lot of people i know have had vaillants and numerous breakdowns. Your obvious argument back will be it wasn't fitted properly by the installer. So there you have it, nothing to do...

    Should the pressure rise

Yes it does rise mate due to water expansion with heat. Mine does too. Normally when the manual says presurise it to 1 or1.5bar for example you do it while cold. I'd expect it to rise by no more than half a bar to be honest.

Hi guys, I am moving house soon and just needed some advice on the boiler. It's a year old system running a Ideal Icos HE18, new cylinder, and there are some tanks in the loft. My question is, will i need a filling loop with this or does it fill itself? My current house has a worcester...

    Lights, switch, action!

Ok, thanks for your help and advice guys. So to check, it's brown to "common" grey to "L1" black to "L2" I take it the mention of grey denotes the blue wire which has to be sleeved as a switched live? Is that correct? Cheers

    Lights, switch, action!

I have a light setup in my living room as below. So there is a single switch either side which controls the nearest light to that side. What I want to do is change this so I have a dual switch either side so I can control all lights from just one double switch no matter what side i'm...

    worcester DT20 programmer

Great, thanks for your help! I originally thought that I could buy a plug in time clock (worcester one) and then wire the stat into that but looks more like the thermostat connects direct to the boiler in addition to the time clock. So the thermostat wired direct would work but the...

Lol! So if i bought the dt20. Could i then wire in a stat such as the one linked to from screwfix? or would i need all worcester components? That would cost me 70ish then. Is that feasible? Andy

    Worcester Greenstar 30si

Hi guys, I have this boiler installed for dhw only at present so no stat is installed. I want to add radiators soon so need some type of stat to call for heat. The worcester ones have been mentioned to me by the guys that fitted it which plug in the front with a wireless stat fitted...

    What price you gettin then?

That's the exact statement that would guarantee you would never work on my house, garden etc. I do my best to steer clear of you and look for honest and friendly tradesmen who offer an honest fair quote. They do exist, unfortunately for you.. Basing it on the car they drive or house they own...
