    intergas boilers

Tony - didn't mean to ruffle feathers - I'll clarify what I meant. Some of the main criticisms against intergas boilers appear to be that they are not widely used (when compared to Valliant/WB etc) and therefore, although you may have a platinum installer near you now, you may not in a few...

    intergas boilers

Any updated views on reliability of Intergas boilers - got a boiler change coming up soon and considering the options (current one is an ideal combi boiler and had 9 callouts in 3 years to get various bits replaced). Thinking Valliant, WB or Intergas - all have had people say positive...

Questions about functionality of Honeywell alarm

Hi all, I'm looking at the Honeywell series of alarms as people do appear to consider these to be one of the best in the range and I don't mind spending a bit more to get quality items. I will likely get an installer (had some quotes a while back which is where a reasonable amount of my...

    Which adhesive make (and type)

Doing the bathroom, Floor: 60x60 matt porcelain onto 22mm ply (and going to have underfloor heating). Walls 30x60 polished porcelain, partly tiled onto plaster over brick, and partly tiled plaster over plasterboard. Part of the wall will be inside a shower. Prices seem to be £40ish for...

    Which adhesive make (and type)

Bought some tiles from my bathroom supplier, but he told me not to buy his adhesive as it wasn't that great (Palace). He recommended Mapei, but can't seem to locate that easily at my nearest tile shops. Lot's of places have a brand called Ultra, one has Weber - of courseTopps has BAL (at a...

    Draft proof front door

It was really to do with the look of them, thought they looked quite neat and tidy. I've seen some Stormguard ones that just look a bit plasticy, so thought it might be a nicer solution?? Agree it is way more faff.

    Draft proof front door

I have a similar problem - looking to better draught proof an old wooden front door. The idea I had was looking at (which I think sounds similar to that suggested above) was to get some staff bead with an inserted pile or bubble foam, and attach around the perimeter. The downside of this is...

Paint bad adherence and cracking - how to rectify

Ta for the input. Would I be ok to just apply a coat over the top of what I've done then or do I need some further prep work?

Paint bad adherence and cracking - how to rectify

Hi all, Was redecorating a bed room (loft conversion room so the walls are plasterboard and skim with paint on them) yesterday. Did my usual light sand, sugar soap, wash, patch wall, wipe down patches ready for painting the prior day. The room was a combination of an offwhite and a strong...

HELP, IDEAL EVO HE, FLASHING H3 CODE

Ok, ta, will take a closer look at it when home later. The online evo manual seemed to suggest a knurled nut, but it absolutely wouldn't suprise me if that was for a different boiler. Thanks for the heads up!

HELP, IDEAL EVO HE, FLASHING H3 CODE

Actually found the manual on line, and yes looks as easy asI thought. Seems to be a simple knurled retaining nut which holds it in place, should be able to unscrew the nut plug in the new one and fingers crossed!!

HELP, IDEAL EVO HE, FLASHING H3 CODE

Hi, I have the same problem on my boiler - Ideal EVO C22-35 (previous owner had it installed - can't wait to get it changed!) come on last night. Cold water wouldn't work for a bit. Went and looked at the boiler and was saying H3. Looked up in the book and this said it was the DHW...

    Flat Matt query

Looking at a number of Flat Matt options to help with the period look. Was wondering if people had opinions (good/bad on colours, flat-ness, coverage etc) on some of the options I can find... So far, looked at Farrow & Ball - good colours but know its pricey, can at least get it in homebase...

Neff dishwasher - how to enter test mode

Thanks for the reply. Done that and those three lights are are all out (50 light stays on and 35 stays flashing - so basically it makes no change to the status of the lights).
