    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Quite. I asked them and they said they were reduced because end of line stock because too many were delivered with faults/cracks.

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

It was approx £200 after price reduction. If its not fit for purpose then it shouldn't be sold really, irrespective of price. I am reluctant to divulge the name of this large stone and marble outlet until I hear their side. (Libel etc) Maybe I have made a mistake fitting it...but I really don't...

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Thanks. I know marble doesn't like acids etc. My feeling though is that the small amount round the plug isn't the concern. Its the larger pool that 'sits' in the sink that doesn't even get near to the waste hole. I may go to the shop tomorrow and ask a few questions....

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Thanks again. I think a seller like this one which i a very expensive and large one would care about the standard of their products and have consequently withdrawn these sinks. The question I am asking myself and others is a sink unfit for purpose, as you rightly say, if it doesn't adequately...

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Thanks 'oldbuffer'. 1.Yes all level..flex of rods slightly forward but can easily correct and have supported it to text flow and no difference. If its flat it won't. 2. Shim it-not sure what you mean in this respect? 3. yes, agreed re waste BUT it should drain all except tiny bit round waste...

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Flat bed will not drain is my belief. How can it? Shower trays etc have slight degree of fall and are designed to drain. Dy definition (sort of) a sink should drain. You don't expect to have to mop up after use! Also noticed cuts had been made underneath as if it had been perhaps fixed and...

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Yes I have installed it properly-which was a major task as it is suspended on metal rods, sunk into inner and outer walls-worked with technical at Rawplug to obtain best solution. The sink is flat and drains in the centre-unlike a Belfast sink which drains in the corner and has a built in...

    Marble sink Issue-your views?

Hi, I have just installed an expensive end of line marble sink from a major high end marble and stone supplier. Sink looks good, BUT, it doesn't drain properly. It has a wide flat bottom that has no camber and therefore it won't fully empty and leaves a considerable amount of water. I asked why...

    Shower Pump Query

Thank you both. I shall follow your recommendations. I shall most probably just feed one shower this way and leave the other one as is, as it works well enough. The hot feed to the bath runs at floor level whereas the shower feeds are taken to the loft and then dropped down. I believe this was...

More shots but I am sure your right...its not dedicated shower outlet.

    Shower Pump Query

Thank you for your comments. Its heated with heat exchanger, so I see what you mean by the outlet on the right. Its hard to get a decent photo but will try shortly. Especially the flange. I'll switch current shower on and see if that pipe feels hot. I think you are probably both right. Unlikely...

    Shower Pump Query

Yes, what I thought, unfortunately. What about the one out of the side though? Its a hot pipe. I thought it may supply shower hot supply? And I need to take a cold supply directly from Cold tank...

    Shower Pump Query

One pipe only out of the top. One out of the side, which I am assuming was added to supply the showers. I can ring the tech line of. Tr are times when you wish you had left things well alone...

    Shower Pump Query

I fitted a negative one in a flat we have and it was fine and easy because thwe cold tank was i the bathroom cupboard and hot feed came up from below. Has been working for 3 years without fault. So I have to run separate and new pipes for this then I assume. Brink a cold feed down from cold tank...

    Shower Pump Query

I have fitted a few before but not with the same issue I encounter...can anyone advise please. Its a bungalow. There are two showers and its a gravity fed system. Whereas pressure was acceptable, though not good, I have updated the bathroom and shower and installed a Trevi concealed valve. I...

    Shower valves

I have always used Trevi valves but have tried to save some money and bought a cheaper one. The flow is poor and I reckon its because the flow is restricted internally. The inlet and outlet channels seemed small to me when fitting. Has anyone any thoughts on this? Any recommendations?
