Replacing Double glazing with PVC Panels

I have just installed a second hand lean-to conservatory, I want to replace the existing three double glazing windows on the right-hand side panel with plain white PVC panels, as this side is against a wall & does not require windows (one of which is broken anyway) Do these panels have a unique...

Ring main tripping RCD with nothing plugged in

Thanks - yes we have a Megger at work I can borrow. I'm pretty sure everything is disconnected - but like I said it has seen a lot of bodging by previous owners! there is no pattern to the sockets at all - they are spread out all over the place, some in conservatory, some in loft & upstairs o_O lol

    Can I have a Woodburner/multifuel Fire?

Safely say I'm not going to bother! - well not yet anyway, maybe look into it more before next winter. I would like a solid fuel burner though - I can put one in my conservatory though as that place is a nightmare to heat!. been looking into it there is an ideal spot for one so I will do that...

    Can I have a Woodburner/multifuel Fire?

Access in loft to chimney breast (if required) very easy. Large front drive. I thought if I could get it done for 1000 or less I was going to go for it. I wouldn't want anything fancy regarding a stove, just something plain/black with sufficient heat output for a medium sized lounge I would...

Poterton Suprima lock out - Only when thermostat turned up

Thankyou. Yes the pump is now wired directly to the pump outlet of the boiler & It hasn't made any difference, in fact it seems to have made it worse!. Unfortunately I'm not a heating engineer - I'm an electrical/electronics engineer, so the wiring part is childs play to me, but I really...

Poterton Suprima lock out - Only when thermostat turned up

Anyone? Is it worth investing in a new controller PCB? - as the 'margin' of error on the thermostat increase to when it locks out and not is so tight

Poterton Suprima lock out - Only when thermostat turned up

Well I'm not saying so - that's why I'm asking for help & advice on here ;-) I can only tell the symptoms how they are now & that it's been wired like that since I moved in 4 years ago & it's always worked ok (apart from when I needed a new expansion vessel which cured an old problem) it...

Poterton Suprima lock out - Only when thermostat turned up

I will rectify this at the weekend, I've only just noticed it. I have been in the house 4 years & it's been working fine wired like this. Like you said if this was the main problem - it would be locking out at any setting, that's why there is something else up too

    Advice on Shower pump

I can find out the shower make model. Another major factor people seem to forget when recommending stuff - budget! - I cannot stretch to a S/T Monsoon model currently, I'm looking for a cheaper compromise based on the single shower application (that isn't going to have horrendous use, as...
