    Smelly Drains

Thanks both - the back arm of the sink trap has nothing connected. Your right that is the old boiler - the new one was fitted after the kitchen was installed - just a couple of months ago actually, the pipe for the boiler drain goes straight down and was connected to the waste pipe - have...

    Smelly Drains

Here are a couple of pictures - one from under sink and one from when the kitchen was installed to help explain. So under the sink the grey hose is from the dish washer - that same pipe then runs around the wall and round the corner to where the washing machine drain is plumbed in in. Hope that...

    Smelly Drains

Thank you I'll check that - after a bit more digging I *think* the smell is from the washing machine - we recently had a combi boiler installed and it was plumbed into the same drainage pipe as the washing machine is - wonder if that's related. The machine is intergrated but can get it out -...

Hi all As a bit of a back story- own a flat in a small block, I'm responsible for anything within the flat and the council for the rest. For as long as I've lived here we've had issues with our drains - the first sign is every couple of months when flushing the toilet / using the basin you'll...

Another thing I noticed is the boiler seems to turn off and on an...

    Slow Boiler

Tried that and the radiators don't warm up - I have also noticed the flat never warms up properly anymore as it used to - I didn't think much of it till I realised the hot water was having the same issue too - the weird thing is the boiler fires up and stays on fine it seems - just suddenly...

    Slow Boiler

Hi All We have a old Netaheat profile boiler with a hot water cylinder. Have noticed recently it's got significantly slower heating up hot water / the radiators. Say 3/4 months ago I could no problem put the hot water on and have a bath after 30/40 minutes- now after an hour and a hal of it...

    Dishwasher waste pipe

Hi all We have a split dishewasher waste pipe which needs replacing - it seems an easy enough job but one problem I'm having is working out how to fully drain the dishwasher. Issue is that the waste pipe goes into the very bottom under the machine, and Even when cycle is finished the bottom...

Hi all Just wondering if anyone has any tips how to repair a textured ceiling - we moved some lights which meant needed to repair some holes where old ones were - did our best but it's pretty noticeable especially in the day Anyone suggestions on how to get a better finish - alternatively how...

    What Shower Pump?

Its a pretty standard shower head 10cm diameter As for usage the pump powers hot water to the kitchen, bathroom sink and shower / bath on mixer tap and cold to shower / bath and bathroom sink - woudlnt say are heavy users.
