Thanks! No doesn't need to be engineering bricks was thinking to put couple rows of 7n Conc Blocks and then Eng Brick on top so will probably do that. So will be something like this then? I was going to put a 100mm DPC roll on the block / brick work at the DPC level in the new extension...

Building Extension to DPC with existing house

Hi for my extension build I wanted to check what point I needed to build the engineering brickwork up to for DPC The back of the current house has DPC below the Internal Floor level - I think is because it is a timber floor with space for vent. For my new extension, I was going to brick up to...

Internal Floor Level and external DPC level

I'm not sure it will be continuous actually as they will be two seperate sheets - they put the DPC roll inbetween the brick and built up from there without dropping it down to the floor. I am yet to put the the DPM roll on the floor / cement etc.

    Warm Flat Roof?

Thanks for the reply, and sorry in delay replying! That's a bit re-assuring. I think it is just the 100mm celetex they have used though. Not sure if they have filled gaps with a foam gun, i will ask the question. Noted on the foil-back. I did reach out to Celetex and yes they said they don't...

    Warm Flat Roof?

The drawings said a warm flat roof with 120mm insulation above the joists. the builders put 25mm at the top because they said that will provide additional height in the loft. they had already done then told me afterwards. The drawings were then changed to show a cold deck roof, but they haven't...

Hi, I'm renovating my bathroom; this is my first real DIY project and wanted to just check about Tiling around the Bath-Shower area. I was planning to apply the tile adhesive directly onto the plaster and then Tile - will this be sufficiently waterproof? someone mentioned that aquapanel...
