    What to use before Multi-Finish?

Hi folks I'm doing bathroom and the lath & plaster walls need tidying up. I've got stuff like crumbling screw holes to fill, a recess to plasterboard over and just a few other generally bad looking bits to fix (it all had pine cladding over it previously). I bought a bag of multi-finish...

New slabbed driveway and gravel path

I have 900x600x50mm concrete paving slabs. Great thanks for the suggestions. I wasn't familiar with SBR, but it sounds like it'll be a good idea from what I read.

New slabbed driveway and gravel path

Hi all, Just looking for some pointers on my driveway. I'm adding two rows of slabs to get my car in on and then was planning for gravel all around. I'm planning to dig out 200mm all over, then fill with the following - - 120mm type 1 sub base. - 30mm sharp sand (under the gravel) or 30mm...

    Plastic pipe with radiators

Thanks! All the other radiator pipes have white pipe covers on them, so it probably makes sense that I just use the barrier pipe anyway. Cheers!

    Plastic pipe with radiators

Hi all, I'm relocating a radiator (or actually changing for new). I'm using plastic pipe under the floor to run to the new radiator location, can i run the plastic directly into the radiator, or do i have to connect to copper tails? Cheers, Iain

    Moving a radiator

Great, I did think it might be possible to take it from another point in the pipe to avoid a big loop. Is the any downside to using plastic barrier pipe? And mixing plastic pushfit connectors with the existing copper pipe?

    Moving a radiator

Hi all, I'm planning on moving a radiator in my ground floor dining room from the current wall to the opposite wall (about 3 meters diagonally away from the current location). My plan was to use copper push fit connectors on the underfloor 15mm pipe. Run the pipe to the new location and again...

    Moving electrical outlets

Hi All, Hopefully someone can give me some advice here... I have recently moved into a fairly old house (60's build), it's been an older couple that's lived there recently. It seems at some point all the electrical outlets have been moved up to about 1.2m from the height of the floor, I...

    Pressure Relief Valve Ports???

I thought it was a cap, but maybe it releases pressure...would that be water or air? When I moved in and noticed the pipe in the garage I just assumed it was for an outside tap...but then I noticed it comes off the pressure relief value.

    Pressure Relief Valve Ports???

Hi, Can someone help me to identify the ports on my pressure relief vale? (pictured). I noticed a pipe coming off my pressure relief value (directly behind the pressure gauge in the photo), that runs through my garage and is capped at the other end. Can anyone tell me what that would be...

    Help to identify an alarm

Thanks for the replies! Here's a photo of the PCB. Well yes, I called the number on it and it did come up as stockport, so that would make sense! So I suppose I'll have no chance of getting a manual for it then :-\ Do you think both units are likely part of the same system?
