    Replacing recessed spot lights

Given it a good tug now and it won't come any further. I think its either fixed to something, or even worse at the back of the tiling on the back wall. I don't think I have any option really but to rip it down and have a look unless anyone as any bright suggestions. At least that way, I...

    Replacing recessed spot lights

This pic shows all three lights down. This is the light to the right side. The black wire, that loops down, has a bit of slack, but the is into a connector block, which you can just about see through the hole but cannot get out. Its not caught on anything, its just the wire isn't long...

    Replacing Halogen MR16 bulbs

Moving on from my replacement kitchen lights, which I am still yet to decide on, I have got a bit LED obsessed! We have three downlights in the downstairs bathroom. They are using the following bulbs at the moment..... General Electric Halogen MR16 12v 50w GU5.3 36 degrees If I...

    Cupboard Ideas/Help

Cheers Yes, I thinking normal doors or cupboard doors with a frame is the way to go. Not sure I really need any special covering on the door as it will only be used infrequently as a bathroom. I think I will put together a plan of what I am thinking and post it here to see if it would work!

    Shallow recessed LED downlight

[/url] They look interesting. Around £25 each - not bad? Have you used them? They look easy to put in as well. I presume I could need to get something like this...

    Cupboard Ideas/Help

Cheers for that. We just out some sliding wardrobes in upstairs and they are really good and nice, that's where the idea came from. The heat from the washer will be ok, because we would have the doors open when it's running and open the 'concealed' window. The only problem with sliding...

    Which tiles?

Sorry, my fault. Anyway, ordered some today. Zanzibar for the kitchen and some Grespania Galeca for the bathroom.

    Shallow recessed LED downlight

Can anyone recommend a good quality LED downlight, but needs to fit in a recess of around 90mm. Haler H2 Lites any good? Would prefer something cheaper.

    Replacing recessed spot lights

Thanks for the suggestion. Not liking the look though. Basically after some easy to install recessed LEDs that will fit in a 90mm recess

    Cupboard Ideas/Help

OK, knocked together a plan of sorts.... And a couple of other pics of the room.... The requirements are to build something where I have marked the plan as a new cupboard. To contain the washing machine, tumble dryer and plenty more storage. I realise covering over the...

    Replacing recessed spot lights

Right, had a look around at the LED lights and I am sold on them. I did look at the Aurora I9 but they were coming out a bit expensive, then looked at the Phillips ones which seemed a bit cheaper, but perhaps not as good. Then realised how tall the fittings were. So, I took one of the...

    Replacing recessed spot lights

Understood thanks again. Once in place and tiled around will these i9 be easily replaceable if they fail? I preume if I get back to the 240 supply side I can actually fit any light fitting I want?

    Replacing recessed spot lights

More than happy to spend a bit more if it's worth it, but didn't want the refit to spiral. If we can fish back to the switch, I presume I can go for any option that doesn't involve a transformer?

    Replacing recessed spot lights

I thought as much...thanks! Hopefully, if we take off that top boarding where the lights are, the transformers will be in there. If so, will the wiring of to the transformers be ok to run something better? As for those aurora lights have had a quick look, but what would be my costs to...

    Cupboard Ideas/Help

Thanks. Yes, the washer and dryer can be stacked, that's no problem. The bathroom is still to remain functional. In fact, the main aim is to make it more functional. So, putting the washer and dryer and storage within a cupboard of some kind was the idea. I can take more pics if that...
