Cheers. We don't know what's up there and won't until the tiles are off. We aren't going to be able to reach reg levels of insulation, I know that much. We are just going to improve what we have and do what we can. Surely adding something between the rafters is better than doing nothing?

I thought the same on the felt. I ordered today and offered to "upgrade" and the merchant said not to bother and it was fine. So I didn't :) As for the velux, yes velux direct were very helpful. Unfortunately as its an older velux the kit is special order and takes 7-9 days for delivery.
