    Which tiles?

Yeah, know what you mean about the dated comment but they do suit the kitchen. I wasn't considering the Zanzibar for the bathroom.

    Replacing recessed spot lights

I fear the worst.... I took one lamp out and pulled it out a bit to see what it was. On the bulb it says... Ikea 12v 20w It has a white connector on the lamp, then into a black connector block and then thicker black wires into the ceiling. Worst part is, when I replaced the lamp I...

    Which tiles?

We are doing some tiling in the bathroom and kitchen. We think we have chosen tiles for the bathroom - they are Beyker Zanzibar tiles. We saw them in Topps for about £40 a metre, but have sourced them online for more like £16 a metre. Any comments on that choice? As for the bathroom, we...

We are thinking about installing a brand new window in our bathroom. The bathroom is ground floor and where it is is single storey. Access is easy, and no scaffold etc needed. The brickwork is fairly thin, original 1900's ish and there is little weight above. Was hoping to have an approx...

I will take it off and try again. Its the spindle on the top of the valve, after you take the top unit off - correct? Would a bit of lithium grease be ok?

    Honeywell Diverter Broken Again? (V4073A1039)

Cheers, yes the lever was totally loose, no resistance at all. I took the top off and gave it a quick clean up, and bang, seems to be working ok again! Is it just getting stuck when we are not using the heating/hot water? Should I put a bit of silicon lubricant in to loosen it up?

    Water Pressue - New Taps

Thanks. Is it distance between the cold water tank on the top floor, or distance to the hot water storage tank that's important. It's probably 3m to hot water tank and 6m to cold. If I went for say a min 0.5 bar tap and the pressure wasn't quite 0.5 what would happen? Would cold be...
