    I don't think I've tried that one, if you start the shower without the pump, you get a drip, I'm sure nothing happens if you switch the pump on. I did flush through the feed pipes after install into a bucket and thinking about it the flow was very good?! Latest development is if you wobble...

    Spade bit or I use auger bits. Can't remember the size, 25mm rings a bell, you will need to measure the od of the pipe.

    Yeah sounds fine, just use a sharp bit. You will have to make sure the holes are lined up and straight, 22 copper is very unforgiving. Never use copper for hidden anymore, sad but true. Easier quicker.

    I'm no boiler expert but I'm sure the boiler should kick in before 27o. Anyway... You must have a blockage...next step is to take a cold rad off and see of you can get a flow from the valves.

    Your old stairs have beading, your new does not. If you got some wide beading, would this not achieve the same thing?

    Plastic or copper pipe? Because I've seen a 'ring' of crud on the end of copper pipe on push fits, which could make it difficult to remove.
