    Wall chaser

i think you are supposed to use either a bolster and mallet or a chisel on an SDS. Since the sides of the chase are already done th emiddle will come out fairly easily. When i have to chase some wiring in the new year i'm just going to hire a chaser and vac from HSS to make life easy.

    Plumbing nightmare

And when its a child? It would still have gone over the bars and I'd think EVERYONE agrees that children shouldn't be in the road on their bikes regardless of the letter of the law.

    Blu-ray discs

Your best bet is to check out somewhere like www.blu-ray.com A whole bunch of anoraks review the Blu's and essentially tell you if the transfer had any effort put into it or not. For example, Zulu looks WTFOMG incredible because it was made on decent 70mm stock and had a decent amount of...

choice of adhesive is alarming. help!

I'll be laying 300x300mm polished porcelain tiles tirectly onto the tiled floor in my kitchen. Old coal boiler stack in my loft - removal of

forgive my ignorance, but a gallows bracket is one of these? There is no sign of them anywhere in the kitchen. If you see the second image the orange cube in the corner of the room is just that, a cube. Where would these brackets be located? I tihnk i'll life the boards upstairs tomorrow...

Old coal boiler stack in my loft - removal of

hehe thanks for that chaps. I was indeed going to start from the top of the stack. Not sure about the bit in the kitchen though. It seems to have a metal plate screwed into the base of it but i just don't know what is supporting the bit upstairs. Obviously the bit in the loft is supported by the...

Old coal boiler stack in my loft - removal of

Having just gotten into my new loft for the first time i found this old disused coal boiler stack up there. The flue within no longer goes through the roof and the stack itself stops just short of the roof. Is there any reason i shouldnt be able to just remove it brick by brick myself...

anyone else think i might need a new cold water tank?

Off the top of my head i cant remember the size but several of the tanks on screwfix will definately go through the hatch as they are under 500mm on two sides. some more pics for your perusal That chimney isnt the proper one, it is just the remnant of the coal boiler the house had...
