    Texe 48 Digicom outputs

ok digi 1 works too. I was hoping to go one step further than my original post and delay the external bell by 1 minute on alarm condition too but while still having the internal speaker sound instantly and trigger the SMS notification. The household are often forgetting they have part set the...

    Texe 48 Digicom outputs

Bingo! @sparkymarka you are spot on. It was the AC mains delay! I've just also learnt that Wintex diagnostics shows you whats going on with this too. So I don't want to do a live test on the digi1 trigger at this time at night. I may do that test another time!

    Texe 48 Digicom outputs

Hi Screenshot of Outputs config. I just looked up the global system timer for AC Off Delay and it is set to 5mins! That may explain that! Let me hook the wires back up to the digi outs, and set AC mains delay to 0 min and test it out.

    Texe 48 Digicom outputs

oh I didn't know that! So i've wired in the trigger wires to OP1 and 2 but the tests under eng utilities are now not working either. Looking a the manual it seems the two panel outputs available to me (Elite 48 panel) are -ve switched, perhaps my device needs to work on a +ve switch.

    Texe 48 Digicom outputs

Hi I'm having a bit of a head scratching moment on something that seems v simple yet I can't seem to figure out. I'm attempting to use an arduino device with SIM card to shoot off SMS msgs when a digicom output triggers. Digicom 1: is set to output group Area and 00 - Alarm Digicom 2: is set...

Qualification for fitting fused spur ?

great advice thanks. Out of interest what is a fair price to ask an electrician to come a long to an alarm install and add a FCU. Say I located it very close to an existing ring main say an FCU next to a existing double socket. South east england (outside London). Thanks again

Qualification for fitting fused spur ?

Hi In order to install security systems into homes do I need qualifications/certifications to take a spur off a ring main to install a fused spur and connect an alarm panel? If so, what's the minimum qualifications/certification needed? And could anyone recommend where to get this done and how...

Installing security alarm panel in loft

Hi: I'm by no means an expert but have done a few texecom wired and wireless systems so I'll do my best to provide some considerations... How's your loft fitted out and what's the temperatures like in winter and summer? If it's anything like mine it gets very cold/hot. While the panels are...

Vodafone and Open TAP log run test results update

Hi - they've all had the texe COM2400 communicator that came with the bundle (oh not the bundle topic again!:D) The only thing I could think of doing is to cross ref with the telephone bill and I could see a charge for calling voda and also another (more expensive) charge to opentap for both...

Vodafone and Open TAP log run test results update

Hi 388 SMS should have been sent and subsequently received on our mobiles. From what I can tell all 388 did attempt to go out and the SMS centres were dialled. 239 of this voda as the primary caught and successfully executed the SMS msg. 147 did not work on voda for whatever reason but did go...

Vodafone and Open TAP log run test results update

Hi all: I often ask questions on here and don't make as much of a contribution back as I hope but maybe this is a little useful... A few years back I started installing Texecom alarm systems to a small group and completed a handful over the years. many of the users of these systems could not...

    Which Texecom wireless PIR

Thanks a lot. Out of interest... who would be the main trade suppliers for Texe kit? and I know this is a sensitive topic but is there a typical discount range for trade without giving too many specifics. I'm considering when/if I should try and do this properly rather than DIYer status. I'm...

    Which Texecom wireless PIR

Brill advice thanks @secureiam Question to finish this off then... The wireless kits Texecom bundle together (Kits 1,2,3,4 and 86) have such attractive price points but they all are PW-w PIRs! Only wireless kit 5 comes with QD-w and DT-w. Ordering a la carte is incredibly expensive by...

    Which Texecom wireless PIR

Hi: Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are on which Texecom PIR are typically and reliably used for different rooms. I understand the technical differences but in terms of matching up the right spec to the right room environment, that's still something I haven't figured out to avoid...

Reading data from Texecom Panels to a external server/service

Unfortunately I was rejected on the basis that I am a DIY installer. What a shame - I was solving a specific case regarding the safety of elderly people living alone.
