Hotpoint WD420 light 1 flash and power quick flash

My old WD420 was starting to leave clothes smelling, so I put some bleach in it and put it on a hot wash. After 2 hours of it sitting with it half full of water and clicking, I turned it off. Since I've done a drain out, and tried to do a rinse and spin, but it keeps stopping with light 1...

Black matt laminate worktop losing black colour

Well said. I am still trying to think what I could have done wrong to make the worktop go like this as I wouldnt use any products if they say that they are unsuitable for worktop use. It is obvious as you say, that this has been made unfit for purpose. Now I need to buy a new worktop...

Black matt laminate worktop losing black colour

Im not too sure if it could be limescale. I have never had any water left on the surface for any period of time as I always make sure everything is fully dry with one of those microfibre cloths. I am worried that its the cleaning products I have used. Maybe something has been too harsh on...

I have been searching most of the morning to see if anyone else has had a similar problem, but can't see that anyone has. We fitted a new kitchen around 18 months ago along with the standard matt black laminate worktop. I think its called 'Blackstone'. Anyway, we have always been very...

Clothes smelling different since problem (no heat?)

woo. It's working! I just hope it works for good. I took the pump filter out, again, and it had a few things in it. So cleared these out. Then i detached the waste pipe from the pump and noticed some string (!) where the motor was, so got some computer tweezers out to grab it. Not thinking...

Clothes smelling different since problem (no heat?)

redone the hose and put it on a dry. Worked, didnt error. Then done a 95degree wash to try to get rid of smell. Cant believe we haven't noticed, but I now think the heating element is broken! The dry clothes weren't hot, and nor was the wash! Any idea how easy to replace that?

Clothes smelling different since problem (no heat?)

I'll take a look. But if I remember, the outlet on the machine is fairly high up, and the join to the waste pipe is low.

Clothes smelling different since problem (no heat?)

I had this issue ( http://www.diynot.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=138933 ) a few monthd back. The machine works now, but the dryer still doesn't. That isn't the end of the world, but the clothes haven't smelt right since. What could be causing this? It doesn't error or stop on a wash, we've...
