    Meter condtion

When you say cut out do you mean the back panel everything is fixed to? do you think they will be able to take the meter off that im assuming that has to stay in place due to the main feed, but thats fine, i just need the meter moving over a bit so i can put a stud wall in in that area but still...

    Meter condtion

EON have said they can move it less than a meter for £65 which might be enough for what i need although id prefer to have it outside. however they told me to contact the DNO for meter changes as you guys advised, although i have yet to be able to talk to them as they go to answerphone.

    Meter condtion

ok So if i call the DNO, I can say, my electrician has suggested I get the meter inspected as he doesn't think that its safe and wont handle the load that were likely to put throught it?

    Another decker

Sounds like a very similar deck to mine, I used 6x2 as it was recommended in various places, I concreted my slabs down but i made sure they had a proper base of compacted hardcore and stone beneath them, not just sticking them on soil. Im not expecting it to sink and is solid as a rock to walk...

    Decking Project

Here is the rough re-design of the frame two 3m x 3.2m boxes, that i can bolt together in the middle. then at one end ill run the lengths on top to their full 3.6m and brace underneath, just to go around the corner a little, then at some point ill probably put up some banister and a gate to...

    Decking Project

ok interesting development that I had not thought of. I called some timber yards near me. Standard lengths of 2x6 are 3.6m 4.8m and 6m the 3.6 and 4.8 lengths are roughtly £2.65 per meter. the 6m lenght is around £3.15 a meter. so ill probably re engineer the design to be constructed from 4.8...

Decking over uneven and split level patio

Doing my own research at the moment and ive seen very different ideas with attaching the decking to the house. In the UK at least it seems to be accepted to attach a beam to the house and then use joist hangers to hang the joists. The issue with this appears to be the damp course and if you...

Can you help identify this tile? + roof question

These tiles were indeed marley double Romans which I was able to get from a local supplier. Spent last saturday up on the roof with a fellow climber replacing broken ones. replaced 9 in total including a couple that broke under foot. Was able to climb up to a flat roof at the back of the house...
