    What shower

HI, I have just fitted a 'Trevi Boost' shower which uses a mix of mains cold and hot from the hot water cylinder. The pressure is good as the cold water is used to increase the pressure of the hot. You will need to check if it can be used with a combi boiler though...

    Toilet Trouble - Inlet valve

I contacted the maufacturer, and it seems that the arcadia is only suitable for mains pressure. Tank feed won't be enough to work the valve. So i'm off to buy a new inlet valve - more expense! Hope the info is useful to someone out there.. wolfboy

Dave, Yes, I fitted an elbow/isolation (1/2inch to 15mm) valve directly to the bottom of the inlet valve. The feed is from the loft tank and the pressure isn't great, but it's definately open. wolfboy

    Toilet Trouble - Inlet valve

As far as know there is no plastic screw in the inlet pipe, and there were no spare parts. There is a black restrictor/filter that is inserted into the bottom of the inlet pipe.

    Toilet Trouble - Inlet valve

I don't think this sort of inlet valve has a high/low pressure insert, (Unless anyone knows different) I know what you mean though. they are colour coded for mains or tank pressure. This unit is rated from 0.2 to 10 bar wolfboy

On my first visit to the local Trade Depot, I pick up some JS Speedfit pipe connections and inserts. On my second visit I realised there were two types of inserts, plain plastic ones with a lip and a small notch shape in the lip, and inserts with 'o' rings. The original ones seem to work &...

    Using expanding filler Foam.

The plaster board at the back is only 9.5mm, so it will be difficult to fix batons without coming through the other side of the wall. I'm also limited for space as the gap is only just wider then the two pipes. I will cover the pipes and try the squirty stuff. Thanks for your help guys...

    Using expanding filler Foam.

I have a hole in a partition wall, where I cut space for pipework leading to a shower. The hole is about 2" deep and about 6" by 3ft. It will be difficult to repair with plaster board as there dosn't seem to be anything to fix the plasterboard to! The wall is filled with a kind of cardboard...
