    Time for a new van...

hi crank, can't say I've had any issues with the EGR valve. The airbag suspension pump went a few times but this was covered under warranty. The dual mass fly wheel is disintegrating I think, it used to rattle really badly a year or so ago, this has quietened down now though. She's overdue a new...

    Time for a new van...

Hi all, Things are starting to go wrong with my 5yo Citroen Dispatch and I'm thinking it might be more efficient to trade her in rather than start spending money on her. I liked the look of the Nissan NV400 and popped down to have a look at one this afternoon. The salesman told me that...

What can I do with this...?

Hi All, Please see attached pic. It's the bottom of my back garden. It's currently knackered paving slabs. Water pools at the bottom of the steps at the far end. The retaining wall slowly seeps with water (appreciate it's meant to allow water to drain through). Water also seems to seep in...

    Air Con Leak...

Morning all! Today's task is fix my van's air con leak. I recently bought one of those top up kits from Halfords but it failed to recharge the system and I was showing 0 PSI after 8 hours of adding the refridgerant. I can hear the compressor kicking in when I activate the A/C. I can also...

Hello all. My 2.0 Hdi Dispatch is doing the above. Is this likely to be a loose hose somewhere?

    Overflowing Tank

worth checking - because I've seen this before.... make sure the spout on the float valve isnt discharging near the overflow pipe itself! I had a customer who's tank's overflow pipe was right next to the valve and water was getting into the overflow when the tank filled!

    Scrap steel pipe prices?

Hi all, Does anyone know if it's worth salvaging old steel pipes and taking them to the scrap yard? Making about £200 a month at the moment from old taps and copper but I still come across a lot of old steel pipes and tanks - are these worth the hassle of cutting up and weighing in?

    toilet cistern keeps filling

that be a syphon u have there ship mate so its almost certainly not the cause of water running into the pan, its more likely your float. have u tried adjusting the float. of course you could be really unlucky and in actual fact your syphon is leaking from the backnut, in which case...

    toilets

sounds like water hammer. check your pipes are securely clipped. Might need to fit an arrestor, although I find just changing the float valve solves it 90% of the time.

    Citroen Dispatch keyfob not working...

Hi all, My 3 button keyfob had died. I've changed the battery and followed the reprogramming instructions in the manual, but it still wont work. Don't know if this is relevant but it does work if I have the keyfob right next to the ignition. Any further away and I get nothing. Any...
