OK .... point taken :!: It looks like someone installed my bath by tiling the wall first :cry: So I have a dilema as to how to seal the edge of the bath properly .... any ideas?

I dont think it matters so long as you use screws that will not rust. Screwfix do a huge range of zinc plated drywall screws .... My only concern is that maybe drywall screws using a drywall driver might crack the board?

Thanks LJW61. I recently used some Wickes 'for neew plaster' on some walls with the lower half re-plastered, the rest was a light colour .. it went on well but took 3-4 coats. Just found a Brewers close by ... I'll get some Crown Trade ..

What is the best trade white emulsion? I'm after minimum coats rather than cost. Is the Wickes trade range any good?

I have to agree with goldspoon ... surley a major manufacturer like speedfit with all the kitemarks would not produce fittings that crumble after 5 years?

Thanks big-all Its just that putting shelving units up against the wall with grippers under the carpet is near impossible to get them to sit properly, Is their an alternative to the nail type gripper system? Say a velcro sort of method?
