Ok, Just finished installing one run of new railway sleepers to create a barrier between patio and raised lawn. These have been treated in a brown stain as opposed to a green one. Next thing i want to do is to stain them. I bought an all singing all dancing end preserver, water repellant and...

    Garden levelling

I plan to remove my rear lawn in September and re build the whole area as it is un even, bumpy and slopes. Having had a garden room built and installed a new patio this year the area that the garden drained down to is now a patio so the garden just floods and as its a clay base it stays wet for...

    Pointing the Patio

Only brush in type products are really expensive. some i have seen are £35 for a tin that'll cover 8sq mtrs. Geo-Fix is one that comes to mind. I would go for the 3-1 mix as it wll be stronger and last longer. As for getting on your knees, do you have any wiling grandkids ????

Take it from me, a dry mix screeded level is NOT the way forward. I spent a full week doing what you have done, 2" of mot i may hasten to add, looked superb until settled then i found rocking, cracked joints and then the frost got in and lifted some. I have just spent the last 2 days lifting it...
