Poor Pressure on Allotment water supply

I wonder if anyone can offer any further advice here. We have had a new boundary box on the road put in as the old one had been tarmaced over by the council. When they put this new boundary box in they said pressure was fine there. So next thing we had done was had the meter replaced this...

Poor Pressure on Allotment water supply

Thanks that makes perfect sense, the allotments water meter is about 5 meters from the road so they have to do some proper investigation on their own pipework, don't think we will be needing much water next week though........

Poor Pressure on Allotment water supply

Yes it's metered, no leak as the meter doesn't run. There are about 5 outlet taps, the further you go away from the supply the better the pressure!

Poor Pressure on Allotment water supply

We have a water on our allotments with MDPE pipe which is 22mm. The supply runs slightly down hill from the supply. At the bottom of the supply the pressure is pretty decent, at the top end near the supply the pressure is useless and has got worse over time. When a tap is on at the bottom of...

Building a fruit cage out of old scaffold

I built a fruit cage out of scaffold poles and netting. Even being well built any weight of snow weighed it down as it covered a decent sized area. Depending on your ground it's easy to ram scaffold pole deep into the ground . Concrete wouldn't do any harm though

    Approx age of brick

Cheers John. We are concerned if what we have come across has anything to do with the under pinning of an extension which took place in the early 1980s.most likely we are wrong but depending on what we un cover we feel it may be worth getting a structural engineer to look. Would this be a wise...

    Approx age of brick

Oh no it's do with removal of a retaining patio wall and trying to work out when it was built with regards to the construction of the house. Large amounts of concrete behind part of this wall. The patio is next to the house and wall is about 5 foot high. So house sits higher then garden...

    Building a new brick wall

Just thinking about this wall, we are going to have blue engineering brick as the dpc. Should I go for two layers of blue ? It wouldn't harm to go for another layer would it ? As the price is the same which ever brick I use.

Implications for removing this patio, wall etc

We are thinking of redesigning our garden and part of this involves this patio area which has a decent drop into the main garden. Our plan is to create a slope with the step free path. As you can probably tell the house is built higher up (although it has a suspended floor and the foundations...
