No pipe to solvent weld. Internal coupler?

I am replacing my bath however the new one sits lower so I need to reroute some pipework. I was hoping to just cut the fitting off and reweld some new on however there doesn't look like I will have enough pipe left. Is there such thing as an internal coupler? There would be 20mm left coming out...

Pressure relief valve leaking into tundish after test

I'm at work now so can't check, I want to say Ideal. The boiler is downstairs and the expansion tank and valve is upstairs. The rate of water coming out has reduced to a slow drip but someone is on their way out to look at it regardless. Many thanks.

Pressure relief valve leaking into tundish after test

Hello. As the title, I tested the pressure relief valve that sits under my expansion vessel of my Central heating system. It worked, water was released into the tundish as expected. Thing is, it's now dripping at a constant rate, and the pressure in the system is reducing. She's giving it "why...

Can Dot and Dab Plasterboard amplify sound?

Thanks Ken. I thought about making a floating frame and removing the existing dot and dab and so reducing the resonance plus isolating the wall. The wall would be back to block but wouldnt matter as it wouldnt be seen due to the floating wall. Another consideration is that i have a radiator on...

    Fire Alarm

Steve.mack you can replace the panel you have now with an addressable no problem. You would need to link the loops out in the panel and use the existing radials as spurs. The addressable devices would be monitored, even though you wouldnt be using the FP cable. I could go on and on but if its...

Can Dot and Dab Plasterboard amplify sound?

As title, can Dot and Dab plasterboard on a party wall amplify sound from neighbours TV which is mounted on party wall? House is 3 storey, 2008 build, dot and dab each side with large thermolite blocks and (im guessing) a cavity inbetween. Neighbour has mounted their tv on the party wall and...

    Soil stack sound insulation

Thanks for the replys. The side of the boxing that i have stripped out to discover there is no insulation forms one wall of my shower alcove, and whilst i can hear the noise of the water going down now that the plasterboard has been removed, it wasn't an issue before. My concern was of...

    Soil stack sound insulation

I have a 3 storey house (might be relevant) with an internal soil stack that vents in the loft. I am in the process of doing some work in my bathroom on the 3rd floor. The pipe is boxed in the corner of the bathroom, currently with 2x 15mm plasterboard covering it, but the pipe does not have any...

Removing a block from wall, and refitting.

I have removed a block from inside the loft so i could see inside the wall cavity. There is no insulation in the wall cavity in the loft. Although we have not had a great deal of rain recently there is no sign of any water getting in anywhere. Extremely pleased that the chimney isn't leaking...

What is wrong with this plant?

I thought i woudl update this. I sprayed the plant with Bug Clear, left it 7 days, then sprayed again as per the instructions. I now have a few new leaves that seem to be unaffected. granted, there are only a few and the rest of the plant looks awful, but its a start. Hopefully a picture is...

Removing a block from wall, and refitting.

I thought i would update this for those interested. I took a block out in the loft as i wanted to see if the false chimney was leaking in the cavity. There is no insulation in the cavity in the loft so i would be able to monitor. It seems there is some sort of damp proof membrain at ceiling...

What is wrong with this plant?

Thanks all for the help. I've only really started taking an interest in the garden (read, any garden) so any advice is great. I would rather not use any chemicals but will try to find some systemic weed killer that is bee safe, in a hope that the bug doesn't move to other plants. Again...

What is wrong with this plant?

We have lived here 10 months and I have never noticed it flower. That doesn't mean it hasn't if I'm honest.

What is wrong with this plant?

Thanks. My concern is that the bugs/disease would spread. I didn't want to dig it out so will cut it back, I'm not sure there will be much left of it though.

What is wrong with this plant?

I've added a couple more pictures. Nothing looks as bad but did find this other plant, just presumed this was normal. ( last pic)
