Options for hiding/tidying pipes behind vanity unit?

No, I can handle losing a bit behind unt, just didn't want to bring the whole wall out. Debating the vanity unit anyway, as some of the other suites we've looked at, I've found some cracking deals, but postage is same whether you buy just a wc or complete suite which makes a difference...

Options for hiding/tidying pipes behind vanity unit?

Haha! Suppose the other option would be to stud out a little just in the gap underneath the vanity unit, you wouldn't notice to look at it, but it depends whether the glass shelf goes flush to back of unit/wall or not. We're going to go through all the suites, etc we've looked at tonight...

Options for hiding/tidying pipes behind vanity unit?

Right, so the missus comes home yesterday and says she's been thinking, could we have one of those freestanding units with a basin on top, instead of basin/ped when we do our bathroom this month. Like this http://www.victoriaplumb.com/Navale_regular_glass_shelf_unit_wenge.html Now, I like...

Salamander CT50 pump - shower & bath filler?

I'll be installing a Salamander CT50 pump to supply my shower when I fit my new bathroom. Looking at bath fillers I have noticed that a lot of them are HP, of at least 0.3 or 0.5 bar, as I am in a gravity feed system with probably not much more than 1 metre of head pressure they won't work...

    New shower - few questions

Hopefully I'll get over to my local merchant this weekend. Wasn't really looking at showers last time we were there. I was hoping to get a nice looking valve & head for around £150 - seems that might not be possible!!

    Bath Tiling

Thanks for that, I'll silicone between side of bath and wall first then, then tile off of bath ledge, then silicone the joint - should be pretty water tight then. Tile the lot hey? I just can't make my mind up, it's not the biggest of bathrooms (1.7x3m) and also missus said something about...

    Bath Tiling

Going to be fitting a new bathroom this month, and so re-tiling the bathroom. The current bath has been tiled from the level of the bath, but I have also seen installations where the walls have been tiled first, then the bath fitted up to tiles. Which is the better method? Also, just...

    New shower - few questions

Or would I be better going with a known make and something like this: http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;jsessionid=SBUPLVMK1UPSOCSTHZOCFGA?_dyncharset=UTF-8&fh_search=capella# shower head isn't exactly how I'd like it but not far off, you'd think you could get a mixer valve & head from...

    Reasonably priced bathroom suites?

Thanks, I've had a look around the sheds but for the money I've found just as nice looking for a little less at my plumbers merchant. Just going for a subtle/modern look, don't have any pics to show as it's not on website, but one we've settled on looks quite nice and my local place did quite...

    Reasonably priced bathroom suites?

As metnioned in my shower post, I'll be fitting a new bathroom this month and after deciding to have a shower as well, we'll be cutting back slightly on the bathroom suite. After looking around my local plumbers merchant we came back with a Lecico brochure, and one of the suites we liked out...

    New shower - few questions

Next month I'll be fitting a new bathroom, after looking at the space we had, etc we have decided that we want to fit a small shower enclosure. This is stretching my budget it a little, but I'm hoping I can find decent fittings, etc for reasonable money. 1st off the enclosure, was looking...

Someone just confirm that I'm right on this please :)

So, I have, that's the trouble with having a quick look, I was obviously looking at one table then reading from another!! Haven't considered earth loop impedance, although should be OK. Pretty sure property is PME, will be transporting the earth. MCB will be from RCD protected side of...

Someone just confirm that I'm right on this please :)

Been put on the spot about a job I have been putting off. 7m run of 2.5mm 3 core (P,N+E) fed from 20A MCB on RCD side of house CU, supplying a couple of double metal clad sockets, with a 5A spur for a striplight (1.5mm). First off, current is OK for 2.5A with swa buried then clipped direct...

Bal Flex - prices and experience

Generally I buy dry cements/adhesvies as they are cheaper than ready mixed. Also they can then be mixed to your own preference, if you prefer a slight thinner or thicker adhesive to work with you can mix it to suit.

Bal Flex - prices and experience

I used Bal flexible adhesive (not rapidset) and that was about £40 for a 20kg bag, again should cover around 10m2 but all depends on bed thickness. If the quarry tiles want a thick bed it won;t go quite so far.
